A day after unveiling his cabinet members of the new administration of the WADDANI ruling party of the Republic of Somaliland, the President H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro chaired the first session of the meeting while flanked by the VP H.E. Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi.
All newly appointed ministers, state ministers and deputies were in attendance.
According to Presidential spokesman Hussein Adam Ige, Hussein Deyr, the session was mainly introductory and orientation.
The Head of State imparted upon the new officials the onerous national tasks they have been assigned to and the responsibilities that are expected of them owing to their induction to the helm of the executive.
He shared with them the Program Guide to the actions of his government, according to the policy plan of the Party Book consisting of six (6) Chapters, which are based on unity and tangibly visible action.
The President also highlighted the priority issues for his government in the next 100 days. The President reminded his cabinet that the nation expects them to work with honesty and integrity.
The cabinet members were supplied with the regulations of Amendments and Supplements to the Law on the Delimitation of the Government System, Law No. 71/2015, which aims to change the structure of ministries and independent institutions to comply with the law.
It is worth noting that some agencies have been merged and incorporated hence assigned newly created ministries.
The President spoke in general about security concerns in parts of Sanaag Region, and once again reiterated the call for peace and cohesive tranquility to prevail.
