Somali troops dislodge Al-Shabab fighters from Sabiid and Anoole settlement in Lower Shabelle region

The Somali National Army (SNA) launched a planned operation on Al-Shabab fighters that are stationed in Sabiid and Anoole settlement in Lower Shabelle region.

The planned operation was conducted by the Somali troops and heavy defeat was inflicted on Al-Shabab fighters.

The Somali troops forced Al-Shabab fighters to flee from their hideouts.

The Commander of the 7th Battalion and the 12th Division of the Somali National Army (SNA), Lieutenant Ahmed Gaashaan who spoke to the media told that the victory is crucial one which represents the constant efforts which are aimed to eradicate the militant group of Al-Shabab from the country.

He added that the Somali troops are currently conducting operations which are aimed to beef up the security in the settlement, and to prevent the militant group from carrying out acts of insecurity.

They are currently patrolling the major roads in the settlement of Sabiid and Anoole in order to prevent any acts that will undermine the peace and stability in the region.

These kind of operations demonstrate that the Somali troops are committed to liberate the terrorist groups from the country and pave the way for Somali populace to live in peace and progress.
