Somali Prime Minister Receives Saudi Ambassador to Mogadishu

Somalia’s Prime Minister, Hamze Abdi Barre on Thursday has received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Somalia, Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al-Mawlid.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the consolidation of the brotherly and strategic cooperation between the two countries.

Somali Prime Minister has expressed deep thanks and appreciations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the constant support it provides to the Somali gov’t and its populace particularly in the areas of humanitarian aid, security, investment and economic development.

On his side, Ambassador Ahmed Al-Mawlid confirmed that Saudi Arabia stands by Somalia and is ready to strengthen the support it provides in order to reconstruct Somalia.

He also stated that Saudi Arabia is committed to cooperate with the Somali Federal Gov’t in a bid to consolidate the efforts which are aimed to eradicate the terrorist groups to make conducive environment where Somalia reaches progress.

The meeting is part of the ongoing efforts which are aimed to consolidate the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and it is expected that it will reach a fruitful level.
