The incumbent Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud yesterday paid an inspection visit to the Ministry of Defense of Somali Federal Gov’t.
The inspection was part of the constant efforts of the Somali President in which he closely monitored the general situation of the gov’t institutions particularly those that are responsible for the country’s security and defense.
During his visit, the incumbent Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with the Defense Minister, the Army Chief, and the National Security Adviser of the ministry.
Officials of the defense ministry of Somali Federal Gov’t briefed the Somali President on the current security situation and plans in place for developing the Somali troops.
The incumbent Somali President pointed out the importance of reforming the quality of the Somali armed forces particularly the Somali National Army (SNA).
The incumbent Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud commended the brave Somali armed forces who utterly inflicted heavy defeat against Al-Shabab in the frontlines and to expedite the reform of the Somali armed forces.
He stated that the Somali gov’t exerted a lot of efforts to stability and security of the country.
