In the past few hours, the Somali National Army (SNA) carried out a planned operation targeting Al-Shabab fighters. According to Radio SNA, the operation took place in settlements located in the Middle Shabelle province. The clearance operation was jointly conducted by Danab Commandos and Gorgor, both members of the SNA. The purpose of the operation was to pursue Al-Shabab remnants who were hiding in rural areas. The specific location of the operation was a settlement 10 km from Haaji Ali, under the jurisdiction of Haaji Ali settlement in the Middle Shabelle province. The troops conducted a search and clearance operation to ensure the security of the settlement. The officers leading the operation stated that it is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate the Al-Shabab group from the country and ensure the safety of the Somali people.
Somali National Army (SNA), in collaboration with local defense forces known as Ma’awisley, carried out a planned operation targeting Al-Shabab members in the villages of Buulo Naagey and Busley Daa’ud, located in the Lower Shabelle province. Nine Al-Shabab members were eliminated, as they posed a threat to the local population. Military officials stated that this operation was part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and eradicate Al-Shabab from the area.
