The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in collaboration with the int’l partners successfully carried out a planned operation in Mabaah settlement particularly Gaya’ad junction in Hiiraan Province.
The airstrike which took place in the past hours targeted Al-Shabab militants who were regrouping there, and were planning attacks on the settlements in Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle province.
According to the press statement, NISA killed 13 Al-Shabab fighters including senior leaders. Weapons and military equipment belonging to Al-Shabab were also dismantled.
The airstrike has been meticulously carried out. The Somali Gov’t successfully eliminated the threat posed by Al-Shabab to local residents living in the settlements in the region.
Finally, NISA is adamant that it is committed to constantly target the terrorist groups wherever they are regrouping and planning acts of insecurity.
