Reports from Lower Jubba region say that Danab Commandos in conjunction with Jubaland Dervish Forces jointly carried out operation which saw the killing of senior Al-Shabab leaders.
The operation took place particularly in Kaam-Joraan settlement in Lower Jubba region where Al-Shabab militants were stationed there.
Officers leading the operation disclosed that they successfully carried out the joint operation, and further told that they inflicted heavy casualties on Al-Shabab fighters.
Nine Al-Shabab militants including senior leaders and fighters were killed.
The operation occurred particularly the West of Kaam-Joraan settlement in Lower Jubba region.
It is noteworthy that the operations against Al-shabab militants were conducted in settlements in Jubaland.
