Security Minister of the Somali Federal Gov’t, Hon. Abdilahi Sheikh Ismail alias Fartag on Sunday has called on the warring sides in Abudwak in Galguduud region to cease the hostilities in which they shed blood.
He said that those who are fueling the fighting in Abudwak town will be held responsible which resulted casualties including deaths and injuries.
A statement from the minister of interior has urged the intellectuals from Abudwak district to observe peace and refrain from any acts of violence which can lead to shedding blood.
He said: “I call upon religious scholars, elders and intellectuals from Abudwak district to find a resolution to hostilities. They have to inform the warring sides to refrain from any acts of instigating unrest. Those who are involved instigating the hostilities; they will be held responsible.”
He informed regional security agencies and those of Galmudug administration to closely cooperate when it comes to the pacification and the cessation of hostilities in Abudwak district.
