The local defense forces known as Ma’awisley forces particularly those stationed in Daaru-Nimo settlement carried out a meticulously planned operation in which they targeted a senior Al-Shabab leader who was notorious for committing atrocities against the Somali populace.
The operation took place in Daaru-Nimo settlement in which they killed senior Al-Shabab leader named Hamze Fara’ade.
They dismantled Al-Shabab positions in the settlement and shot dead senior Al-Shabab leader on the spot. Mr.Hamze Fara’ade was responsible for the militant group of Al-Shabab for landmine explosions. He was accused of committing crimes including assassinations, killings and inflicting upon injuries.
Officers told that Fara’ade was a terrorist who posed a serious threat and the local defense forces have been pursuing him for a long time. It was also confirmed that they have seized his gun. They have revealed they will display it to the public in Addaan Lahey settlement.
