Reports from Deyniile district in Banaadir province say that a landmine explosion occurred in an area close to a teashop which lies on the major road of Deyniile district.
At least one person is confirmed dead and three others were wounded in the landmine blast.
Eyewitnesses told that the blast of the landmine could be heard in the villages in Deyniile district.
The place where the landmine explosion occurred is busy during the noon and afternoon.
There is a mosque named Muumin El-Buur which is next to the teashop, and where Janazah prayers are performed for dead bodies who will be buried in Deyniile district.
Eyewitnesses said that the man who died in the explosion is named Aduur Mohamed Barrise.
There is a checkpoint which is close to the area that the landmine occurred but reports indicate that the soldiers in the checkpoint who search vehicles did not sustain injuries.
No group has claimed the responsibility of carrying out the explosion but Al-Shabab militants conduct such attacks.
