A high –level delegation headed by Israeli’s Foreign Minister, Hon. Gideon Sa’ar has arrived in Hargeisa, Somaliland’s capital on Tuesday amid heightened security in the capital.
Members of Somaliland cabinet ministers and other government officials greeted the delegation upon arrival at Egal Int’l Airport.
The objective of the Israeli delegation that arrived in Hargeisa is to deepen the bilateral ties between Israel and Somaliland.
This is the first delegation that the State of Israel sent to Somaliland after Israel announced that it officially recognized Somaliland as an independent state on December 26, 2025.
Mr. Gideon Sa’ar is expected to hold high level talks and discussions with Somaliland President and other cabinet ministers in a bid to strengthen the working engagement between the State of Israel and Somaliland.
