Following the Government’s Declaration to temporarily shut down All Universities and Schools across the country for four weeks in response to the novel Coronavirus epidemic. The President of the University of Hargeisa Dr. Mohamoud informs all Lecturers and Students that all classes are suspended for four weeks starting from today and except for further notice will be resumed on 18 April 2020. The permanent staff of the University, except those needed to come to the University will be working from home at the usual working hours.

The health and safety of students and staff is the first priority for the University. The University will take precautionary measures during that period. The classes and Halls will be assured clean as usual; the library will not be opened and no event will be held at the University. There will not be staff meetings during that period and any staff gathering is discouraged. College management and staff should have a regular distant contact with their respective lectures and class monitors to follow up with their conditions.
