Dr. Saad, the Minister of Finance chaired the first meeting of the Government Budget Preparation Committee on discussing the 2022 Annual Budget, today’s meeting focused on the first step in preparing the budget.
According to the budget schedule, the meeting focused on the first step in budget preparation, which was presented to the Budget Outlook Paper by the Economic and Planning Department of the ministry, which outlines the country’s overall economic situation and tax policies.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Finance Dr. Saad was attended by the Ministers of Livestock, Water, Health, Investment, Communications, Deputy Minister of Finance, Director General of Finance, Departmental heads of budget, economics and public relations departments of the Ministry of Finance.
During the meeting the Committee discussed the policies of the budget, and deeply exchanged how & where priorities in budget 2022 would be given, and agreed further meetings to fetch out areas of importance throughout the Nation.
Finally, this meeting, which is the starting point for the preparation of next year’s Government Budget with Allah grace, will be followed by other meetings Budget Committee will discuss other stakeholders including civil societies on budget preparation.
