The Minister of Environment and Climate Change Hon. Shukri Haji Ismail Bandare received in her office a senior Hallo Trust official who heads the environmental sector in the Horn of Africa region Mr. Ralph Legg.
Both parties discussed how The Hallo Trust would contribute to partner with the country.
“In that meeting, it was discussed how The Hallo Trust would participate in dealing with and taking care of the environment in Somaliland”, said a brief news release from the meeting.
The minister was flanked by the Director General of the Ministry of Somaliland Region, Mohamed Abdillahi Duale, and the Director of the Ministry’s Planning Department, while Ralph was accompanied by several officials of his organization.
Hello Trust, which previously implemented various projects in Somaliland, the biggest of which was removal of explosive ordinances, has recently been planning to work with the Ministry of Environment of Somaliland on climate change issues.
