The deputy chairman of Somalia’s main opposition party, the Union for Peace and Development, Abdifatah Ismail Dahir, has tendered his resignation on Monday.
Mr. Dahir who is also a member of Lower House of parliament and the chair of the parliamentary committee for ports, airports, transport and energy has nor disclosed the reasons for quitting the opposition group.
He vowed to challenge President Mohamed Abdilahi Farmajo’s administration to ensure check and balance as an opposition member of the Federal Gov’t.
