Puntland President, Mr. Saed Abdilahi Mohamed Deni, was infuriated on Sunday when the Somali Federal Government diverted a plane carrying his bodyguards and staff to Mogadishu. The plane was supposed to be an advance delegation for Deni’s visit to Mogadishu to attend a meeting between the Somali Federal Government and the Somali Future Council, which aims to resolve the election standoff. Deni accused the Somali Federal Government of being irresponsible and committing an act of murder by diverting the plane. He stated that the plane was supposed to refuel in Mogadishu before returning to Garowe, but it was diverted mid-air. Deni made these remarks at a ceremony where police officers graduated from the police training school in Qardho town, known as Horgoble. He emphasized that he will not be afraid to speak out about the situation in Somalia and will go anywhere to do so. Deni also criticized the officials of the Somali Federal Government for their actions that do not please the Somali people.
