The Eritrean President H.E Isaias Afwerki has cordially welcomed a high level delegation led by Somaliland special representative to the UN, Mohamed Warsame Duale on Monday. The high level Eritrean delegation reached Asmara on Sunday by paying a courtesy call to Eritrea. The two sides held discussions centering on boosting the cooperation between Somaliland and Eritrea. Eritrean delegation visited Somaliland led by its foreign minister, Osman Salah in March this year. The FM met with Somaliland Head of State, Musa Bihi Abdi, discussing ways to forge closer cooperation. The president of Eritrea was accompanied by the FM during the talks with Somaliland diplomat. Eritrea is among the nations in Africa that has shown interest in hosting the stalled Somalia-Somaliland talks.
