Danad Commandos of the Somali National Army (SNA) particularly the 161 unit conducted a planned operation in the settlements in Lower Shabelle province. The troops carried out the operation which was meticulously mobilized.
They nabbed senior Al-Shabab member. They have also confiscated weapons in which the enemy used to conduct acts of insecurity and a motorbike. They demonstrated their role in the defense of the people, the fight against Al-Shabab, and they bravely foiled the threat posed by the enemy in the country.
In addition, Danab Commandos and units of Jubaland Dervish soldiers launched a planned operation in Baqooqaha settlement in Lower Jubba region.
The operation targeted hideouts in which Al-Shabab fighters were hiding. Heavy defeat was inflicted upon the enemy. They are still stationed in the settlement and are intensifying operations against Al-Shabab who commit atrocities against the residents in the settlements.
