The United Nations Migration Agency (IOM) has organized a four days training workshop in Maansor Hotel, Hargeisa, of Somaliland. This workshop was attended officials from the Somaliland government, including ministries livestock, Agriculture, interior and Water. THL team of expert from Finland was facilitating the workshop. In this workshop the participants are planned to learn knowledge of Increasing capacities to prevent public health threats and implement international health regulations (WHO) in Somaliland. The Director General from the ministry of health of Somaliland and IOMgave key note speech explaining the objectives of the training workshop. Subsequently, the head of IOM Sikhulile Dhlamini gave also a key note speech. She mentioned that it was great pleasure for her to participate in that worthwhile meeting, Ms Sikhulile Dhlaminiempathized that one of the key objectives of the training included improving the national health situation, especially increasing application of health policies and applications of internationals health regulations, as this will enhance the health sector of Somaliland. Finally the Director General of the Ministry Health, Dr Mohamed Abdi Hergeye, has officially opened the training workshop.
