Suspected Al-Shabab fighters carried out an ambush of a tank truck carrying fuel and belonging to Safaricom Transportation Company.
The attack took place in Mandheera town in the Eastern region of Kenya.
The suspected Al-Shabab fighters abducted a technician who was working for Safaricom Transportation Company.
He was staying in Bamba Ola settlement, which lies 25 km North of El-Wak.
Security Officers are currently conducting operations in search of the technician and those who kidnapped him.
The suspected Al-Shabab fighters also ambushed two vehicles that left from Nairobi and were heading to Mandhera town.
The suspected Al-Shabab fighters interrogated the passengers on board of the two vehicles.
Ambush attacks are frequent in most settlements and districts in North-Eastern region of Kenya.
