23 Somaliland youngsters who were stranded in Libya on Friday have safely arrived at Egal airport in Hargeisa. The returnees have been voluntarily repatriated by the joint initiative of IOM, UNHCR and in partnership with the Somaliland government. The head of refugees and IDP’s agency, Mr. Abdikarim has said that the youngsters from Somaliland have been languishing in the harsh life in Libya. The returnees will be vocationally trained while those who need medical attention will be admitted into the local hospital for further treatments. Mr. Abdikarim has expressed his worry over the youth who are still stranded in Tripoli, and are caught up in the war between the warring factions in Libya.
