Technical problems left Radio Hargeisa, the only state run radio in Somaliland left station off air. Due to the tech woes, the gov has not so far fixed a date for fixing the problem so that the national radio will be back on air. It is reportedly said that the radio which has been broadcasting both locally and outside Somaliland has not been operative for quite some time. This was disclosed by Upper House of parliament-the Guurti in which the house urged the gov to do all it can to see the radio back to air. The report has informed the ministry of information to strive so that Radio Hargeisa must be back on air as soon as possible as the people used to listen the radio programs both locally and outside Somaliland. The British protectorate established radio Hargeisa in 1943.
