His Excellency, Musa Bihi Abdi, Somaliland President has met with a high level delegation from Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and UN officials led by The United Nations Under-Secretary-General (USG) for Political Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, who embarked on officials working visit to Hargeisa, Somaliland today.
IGAD delegation is also headed by its envoy to Somalia, Hon. Mohamed Ali Guyo.
The talks focused on boosting bilateral cooperation and regional security.
The delegation from IGAD and UN discuss with Somaliland leader on the best way forward for speed up the humanitarian efforts, tightening regional security and boosting collaboration.
Both UN and IGAD delegates thanked the incumbent president on his gallant efforts to promote the ties between UN, other regional bodies and Somaliland.
