Somaliland said that ensuring the safety and security of its territorial waters rests on the shoulders of its coast guards but reiterated that a joint cooperation launched by regional countries won’t bear fruit if Somaliland is excluded from being a member of the alliance.
This was stated in a press statement issued from the ministry of foreign affairs of Somaliland. The ministry has made its stance clear on the joint organization formed by six countries located in the Red Sea. Somaliland has secured the safety of its territorial waters from piracy threats.
