Somaliland: Havoyoco held a Panel Discussion on Challenges and Opportunities

A number of students in Buroa, companies management and notable members of the public held a scientific discussion on challenges and opportunities in the internship market of Somaliland.

The event was organized by Havoyoco, a local organization based in Somaliland.

Large number of people including students, business managers and local government officials were in attendance at the event.

The panel discussion on challenges and opportunities in the internship market is aimed at forming an idea on major challenges the country’s youth face in the process of applying jobs.

The youth who spoke at the event raised doubtful questions and comments to the government officials and business managers on how they could deal with present and recurring challenges.

Kamal Hasan Isak, Havoyoco social affairs manager, accentuated the significance of creating jobs for the youth to curtail the skyrocketing rate of unemployment in Somaliland.

He said that he is hopeful that the newly elected members of the local government will play a huge role in realizing this dream.

Kamal said: ” We are all aware a good of youths were among the newly elected MP’s in recently concluded elections in the country. Buroa can be a great example for electing youth man for the mayor. This is another good indicator that our young generation get new opportunities to chase the dream of their job.”

Other notable figures represented gov’t institutions and business companies underlined the necessity of assisting youth to land jobs.

He also underscored that they will will provide equal opportunities to the public.
