Somaliland’s Foreign Minister, Yasin Faraton on Thursday met with the Permanent Secretary of Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Peter Macharia in Nairobi, SL liaison office said in a statement.
“The two sides conferred on the most significant issues in mutual ties and regional and global developments including trade,” the statement said.
Somaliland FM is on working visit to Kenya despite amid diplomatic and strained ties between Somalia and Kenya pertaining to territorial water dispute.
The FM from SL met with Kenya’s secretary in charge of trade, Peter Munya and discussed ways that Kenya should engage with SL on trade.
