A delegation headed by the deputy Somaliland president is on working visit to Borama, Awdal’s provincial capital.
On Wednesday, the deputy president, Hon. Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail held a meeting with Borama local council whilst the agriculture and trade affairs ministers were in attendance.
The local council meeting with the VP was aimed ad addressing the concerns raised by the township.
The DP has reiterated to the local council to further advance the township and to work towards its development.
He also talked about ways to further upgrade and improve the basic services that the city council is in charge of.
He called on the city to open blocked roads, to beautify the city and to further improve basic services.
The DP has inspected the ongoing rejuvenation of Borama airport which is under face lift.
The DP was briefed on the underway reconstruction by the deputy Borama airport manager.
The mayor of Borama, Hasan Suleiman Hadi has said that the fencing of the airport is underway.
He appealed to the public to abide by the fencing of the airport which is underway and also pledged to cooperate with airport authority.
The DP reiterated that no one will be a constraint to the ongoing airport revamp and added that the areas for the airport should be demarcated.
last but not least, the DP hosted lunch banquet in honor of traditional elders from Borama.
