Covid-19 Control & Emergency Response Committee revised some of the preventive measures imposed upon once the deadly novel coronavirus cases were reported in Somaliland.
- Sports Facilities
Stadiums & gyms facilities will be allowed to re-open but are instructed to follow and adhere to Covid-19 preventive measures. They are informed to observe social distancing, hand washing, wear face masks and gloves. The committee will ensure if the measures are complied with and later follow up.
2. Public Transport
As for public transportation, the strict measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic will remain in place and there won’t be a relaxation until 30th June 2020.
The passengers are instructed to observe social distancing, wear face masks and gloves.
3. Mosques
Mosques authorities are also urged to adhere with the restrictions put in place by committee against Covid-19. The worshipers are called on to observe social distancing, wear face masks and gloves. Toilets and ablution facilities will remain closed.
The committee will ascertain if the guidelines are respected and will follow up.
4. Work Places and Business centers
People at work places and trading centers are instructed to adhere with guidelines including social distancing, hand washing, wear face masks and gloves.
The committee said that for flight restrictions will remain in place until 30th June, 2020.
Community congregations are prohibited. More than 10 people who gather together are not allowed. People are urged to comply with Covid-19 guidelines. They are instructed to adhere to social distancing, hand washing, wear face masks and gloves.
Any community gatherings that are necessary must get an official letter from Committee against Covid-19 to give the green light and the go ahead.
