The official campaign period for Somaliland’s parliamentary and local council polls, schedule to take place on May 31st, will officially commence on Saturday, May 23, and will be wrapped up on May 28. This was disclosed by NEC chairman, Honorable, Abdirashid Mohmud Ali alias Riyo-rac. He said that the political campaign for the upcoming elections in Somaliland will last for a period of six days. The candidates of the three political parties namely Kulmiye, UCID and Wadani will start to rally their supports whereby each and every party has got two days to campaign. The Chairman stressed that all political parties must refrain from actions that are prohibited from campaigns as the regulations stipulate.
