Somalia has permitted Kenya to open diplomatic mission in Somaliland: FM

The Somali Federal Gov has spoken of the diplomatic liaison office that Kenya is planning to open in Hargeisa. The foreign minister of Somalia’s Federal Gov, Mr. Ahmed Isse Awad has ruled out the possibility of Kenya has sought alliance from the regional states in Somalia. The FM said that Somalia has given the green light and the go ahead of the Kenyan gov to open diplomatic office in Somaliland. In addition, Mr. Awad has said that Kenya has permitted Somalia to establish consular office in the coastal township of Mombasa if need be. In interview with the Standard media in Kenya, Somalia’s FM has said that Somalia does not intend to retaliate in regard to the steps that Kenya has taken in order to pressurize Somalia to accept the maritime row to be resolved by talks rather than the court.
