Somalia Breaks Ties with Guinea over Somaliland president’s visit to Conakry

The Somalian Authority has severed its diplomatic ties with Guinea Conakry following the official invitation of Somaliland president to Conakry. This was announced by Somalian FM, Ahmed Isse Awad, by saying that Guinea has violated the sovereignty of Somalia. Somaliland president leading a high level ministerial delegation is currently on state working visit to Conakry and is expected to hold talks with Alpha Conde, the Guinean leader. Somalian Federal Gov has taken every diplomatic move to isolate Somaliland. It was just a couple of days ago when Somaliland FM, Yasin Faraton met with Kenyan permanent secretary at the foreign ministry. It was stated Somaliland as a country in a tweet, the Somalian authority installed in Mogadishu has summoned Kenyan envoy to Mogadishu, Lucas Tumba asking explanations and issued a press statement calling on Kenya to respect Somalia’s sovereignty.
