The Somali Federal Gov’t has lauded the tangible victories that the local defense forces in Hiiraan region reached when it comes to the fierce fighting that took place in certain settlements in Hiiraan region.
The fighting ensued between local defense forces in Hiiraan region and the militant group of Al-shabab which particularly occurred in settlements in Muqliga Ali, CeelHareeri, Hareeri Madoobe and Garas Magan which are part of Hiiraan region.
A press statement issued by the defense ministry of the Somali Federal Gov’t said that the local defense forces killed 25 Al-shabab militants in the fighting that took place in Muqliga Ali, Ceel Hareeri, Hareeri Madoobe and Garas Magan settlements.
The Press Statement further stated that the brave local defense forces and the Somali National Army (SNA) were aware of the last gasp attacks of the militant group of Al-shabab and prevented the enemy’s onslaught.
The statement went on to say that Thank Allah, that the defense forces inflicted heavy defeat on the militant group of Al-Shabab.
It added that the brave local defense forces collected the corpses of 25 Al-shabab militants.
The statement further stated that they also captured four Al-Shabab militants alive while three of them sustained serious injuries.
It was noteworthy in the press statement that the local defense forces in Hiiraan region set an example of the fight and the defense of the Somali people who exerted maximum efforts in order to liberate the country from the militant group of Al-shabab.
Finally, the Somali Federal Gov’t said that it is committed to eradicate the militant group of Al-shabab with in conjunction of world friends and the local defense forces known as Ma’awisley.
