Employees at the National Election Commission (NEC) will be safe from the deadly Covid-19 infection in the upcoming May 31st, 2021 election. This was asserted by NEC Chairman, Hon. Abdirashid Mahmed Ali alias Riyo-rac. Mr. Abdirashid received a consignment of assorted medical supplies from the EU representative to Somalia, Nicholas Berlanga. The donation was also provided by the EU of Covid-19 supplies includes prevention kits- face masks and hand wash sanitizers. EU envoy to Somalia, Berlanga said that the donation will be of great heal to the employees at NEC who are also in compliance with measures of Covid-19. Berlanga further stated that we should praise NEC leadership as 1, 642 polling stations will receive ballot papers in the days to come.
