The Council of Presidential candidates has welcomed the president’s call for a Consultative Meeting for the regional state leaders as the political wrangle between the Federal Govt and other political stakeholders have not been resolved.
The meeting is scheduled to take place in Dhusamareb of Galmudug state.
The council of the presidential candidates advised the Federal Govt to increase the number of guests of the meeting and not to be just for the regional state leaders.
They said that the Federal Govt should prioritize inviting the speaker of Upper House who is representing SL according to the CPC.
There had been disputes between the Federal Govt & its member states of issues regarding the Federal Electoral Commission members, Gedo region and election.
