Addis Ababa–Preparations have been finalized to warmly welcome a delegation of Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) led by its chairman, Dawud Ibsa, according to the Oromia regional state.
The delegation will arrive in Addis Ababa on Saturday, September 15, 2018.
Dr Negeri Lencho, head of the regional state’s communication bureau, said preparations have been finalized to warmly welcome the delegation at the event to be held at the Meskel Square in Addis Ababa.
He called on the public, the youth in particular, to do their parts for the warm welcome and peaceful end of the event.
He also urged the people to inform security officers when they see something suspicious.
According to Dr Negeri, anyone has the right to carry any logo and flag which stands for him/her.
He also deplored the problems observed in Addis Ababa in the couple of days in connection with a flag.
“The incidents are unacceptable,” he said.
