Jubaland regional administration has strongly objected the decisions reached in the National Consultative Conference (NCC) which was wrapped up in Mogadishu last night in which Ahmed Madobe boycotted to attend it.

Jubaland authority has announced that the decisions have nothing to do with its regional administration. Jubaland Minister of Information, Mr. Abdifatah Mukhtar who issued a statement has pointed out that the decisions that came out in conference is something that cannot be implemented.

He said that the meeting was held by leaders belonging to one political party. He said: “It is we cannot walk, so let us run. What has come out of the meeting held by leaders of one political party.” The quick response from Jubaland comes after decisions were reached in the National Consultative Conference.

The NCC suggested that the situation in Jubaland must be confronted in line with the country’s constitution. The Minister of Interior was tasked to put forward suggestions pertaining how to deal with Jubaland administration which is in line with the laws of the country.

The Somali Federal Gov’t is strongly opposed to the presidential elections held in Jubaland where the current president Ahmed Madobe was re-elected.

Political wrangles broke out between Jubaland administration and the Somali Federal Gov’t. It seems that the Somali Federal Gov’t has not so far changed its mind and is committed to depose Ahmed Madobe from power by any means.
