The government on Thursday has revoked the operating license of the integrated Shipping Services, citing trade violations pertaining to the laws in Somaliland. This was stated in a circular issued by the minister of trade, Honorable. Mahmud Hasan Saed Sajin. The ministry said that it annulled the operational license of Integrated Shipping Services, after it permitted the Head of Ethiopia’s Shipping and Logistics Service Enterprise, Mr. Roba Megersa to intrude in the port of Berbera with out the knowledge of Somaliland government. The SL government is not aware of the matter and that Integrated Shipping company did not inform the government upfront. The ministry said such violations makes it impossible for the shipping company to continue its operations in Somaliland.
