Reports from Bali’ad settlement which is under the authority of Dhabbad district in Galgudud province say that two herders were killed on Saturday noon.
Reports further indicate that the two herders hail from Abudwak district in Galgudud province. The armed assailants escaped from the area after they carried out the killings.
The motive of the killing is still unknown. However, the murder of the two herders are linked with revenge killings. The murder of the two herders caused panic among the residents and it is believed that this will instigate further hostilities that were taking place in Galgudud province. Galgudud is among provinces where tribal armed conflicts are rife.
