Mogadishu-–Reports from Adden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu indicate that a passenger plane crashed on the runway after experiencing mechanical problems shortly after takeoff. According to the Manager of Somalia’s Civil Aviation Authority, the plane departed from Adden Adde Airport and was en route to Galka’ayo, the provincial capital of Mudug. The pilot immediately reported mechanical issues and decided to divert the plane back to Mogadishu airport. However, during the attempted landing, the plane skidded off the runway and crashed into the sea, causing panic and anxiety. It has been reported that there were 50 passengers on board, and rescue operations were immediately launched to save them and the crew. Airport officials and security agencies have confirmed that all passengers have survived the crash and efforts are currently underway to ensure their well-being. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
