HARGEISA– The Upper House of Somaliland’s parliament (Guurti) is searching 14 members whose whereabouts of the MP’s who have go awol– absent without leave.
A legislative session scheduled for Sunday was postponed due to lack of quorum. An official letter issued from the office of the house of elders have urged that the MP’s who have gone AWOL are urged to attend the coming session which is supposed to open on Monday, 27th of August, 2018.
The MP’s have failed to show up at the session so that the Upper House to proceed with its parliamentary businesses.
The letter was signed under by the secretary of the House of the Guurti.
The House of Elders consist of 82 members.
