At least 12 Al-shabab fighters including senior leaders were killed in a specially planned operation which targeted Al-Shabab fighters who were staying in a residential house that locates in Adan Yabaal district in Middle Shabelle province.
The operation which was meticulously planned was jointly carried out by the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) soldiers and int’l partners that support the Somali Federal Gov’t on the fight against Al-Shabab.
A statement from the Somali Federal Gov’t particularly the ministry of information, culture and tourism confirmed that a large cache of weapons and combat vehicles were destroyed.
The residential house which was the target of the operation was a strategic center for the militant group of Al-shabab in which they store the military equipment and plot attacks against the Somali troops and the populace.
The center of the operation precisely targeted Al-shabab leaders who were pursued and who committed atrocities against the Somali populace.
The Somali Federal Gov’t said that it will release the names of Al-Shabab leaders killed once they are confirmed.
The Somali Federal Gov’t in collaboration with int’l partners are committed to eradicate the terrorist groups where their leaders cannot escape from the justice after having continued to suck the blood of the Somali populace.
