HARGEISA–Somaliland President H.E Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro, along with a high-level delegation, travelled to the UAE on Monday to attend the annual World Governments Summit in Dubai. This trip holds great diplomatic significance as President Irro will represent Somaliland at an international forum that brings together over 130 delegations from around the world, including international organizations and influential leaders who play a role in global decision-making processes. President Irro is expected to deliver a message at the Forum on Somaliland’s achievements in state-building, peace, democracy, and development, highlighting the crucial role that Somaliland plays in the Horn of Africa and the world. During his stay in the UAE, the Head of State will hold meetings with leaders to discuss cooperation in areas such as development, investment, trade, security, and other important issues for Somaliland. The attendance of Somaliland at the World Governments Summit demonstrates the strong interest of the international community in Somaliland.
