A special Iftar dinner, organized by the Somaliland Embassy in the United Kingdom, brought together representatives from the Somaliland and Israeli embassies, highlighting the growing bilateral relationship between the two nations. The gathering served as a meaningful occasion to share the cherished Muslim tradition of breaking the fast, a practice valued by Muslims around the world, including those in Israel. It also emphasized the values of hospitality, generosity, and community central to the holy month of Ramadan. Beyond its religious and cultural significance, the event reinforced the importance of religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and the value of cooperation during challenging global times. Since Israel formally recognized Somaliland in December 2025, relations between the two have steadily deepened, driven by shared objectives to expand diplomatic, economic, and cultural engagement.
