Saudi envoy to Somalia visits Hargeisa, holds talks with President Bihi

Hargeisa–2, May—The ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Somalia, Dr Mohammed Abdi-kani Khayat has arrived in Hargeisa on his first official working visit to the republic of Somaliland on Thursday.

The president of Somaliland received the visiting envoy at state house in Hargeisa.

The discussion focused on extending a helping hand to the drought impacted communities in Somaliland.

The Saudi envoy to Somalia has pledged to assist the vulnerable community.

President Bihi and Dr Mohammed Abdi-kani Khayat also discussed ways that the two countries can cooperate on livestock trade.

President Musa Bihi has also raised with Saudi envoy on lifting the ban on Somaliland livestock export.

He also insisted upon the compliance of Saudi conditions in regard to livestock.

The two sides also talked about ways to enhance the bilateral ties, Hajj issues and cooperating on wide range other issues.

The visiting Saudi envoy to Somalia is due to hold talks with ministers and other officails during his stay in Somaliland
