The Minister of Interior Hon. Mohamed Kahin Ahmed received in his office Sen. Olivier Cadic who is the Deputy Chairman of the French senate committee for foreign affairs, defense and armed forces.
Sen. Olivier is one of senior European eminent personalities who greatly support the cause of the sovereignty and independent nationhood of the Republic of Somaliland.
The minister briefed the visitor on the general situation of the country especially on the issues of security, development, elections and the role of Somaliland in the stability of the Horn of Africa.
Sen. Cadic on his part thanked the minister and Somalilanders in general for the cordially warm reception he was accorded and praised the nation for the developmental progress and prosperity it has achieved so far.
Present at the French senator’s courtesy call was the Somaliland representative to France Amb. Abdirahman Yassin, and other senior officials of the interior ministry.
