Former Somali PM Holds Discussions with Sheikh Sharif

The former Somali President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed held a crucial meeting last night in Mogadishu with senior officials of the Union of National Dignity led by former Somali Prime Minister, Hon. Abdi Farah Shirdon alias Sa’id. The meeting was held in Sheikh Sharif’s residence in Mogadishu. The objective of the meeting was to exchange views after the members of the Somali Salvation Forum paid a courtesy call to Somalia’s ex-president who currently chairs the Forum. The Former Director of National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mr. Fahad Yasin who is a member of the National Dignity Party who posted a statement on his Facebook Account, said that the gathering ended by reaching a common understanding of the issues that were top of the agenda of the meeting. He expressed thanks to Sheikh Sharif and other members of Himilo Qaran political Party. He said: “Last night, we paid a courtesy call to ex-president Sheikh Sharif at his residence in Mogadishu. I was accompanied by members of Himilo Qaran political party. I expressed deep thanks and appreciation to former president for the warm and cordial welcome and exchanged views on a wide range of issues.” The two sides also exchanged their views on the current political situation, unity and the state-building.
