In coordination with Somali Federal Gov’t, U.S Africa Command conducted an airstrike against ISIS group in Somalia.
The airstrike targeted ISIS group’s hideouts in the Al-Miskad mountain ranges in Bari region.
The airstrike which was conducted on 21 Feb. 2025, was part of an ongoing efforts which are aimed at weakening the capabilities of ISIS terrorist organization that is operational in Al-Miskad mountain ranges.
Preliminary reports indicate that key ISIS members were killed in the airstrike.
Security officers said that the airstrike is important in the efforts to intensify the anti-terrorism operations against Deash group.
Yesterday Puntland security forces reached the base where Daesh leader, Abdikadir Muumin was stationed.
The security officers reiterated that its troops will catch Deash leader wherever he hides.
The officers further said that Daesh groups were eliminated when it comes to most territories in Puntland.
