Somaliland: President Presents Medals of Honor to 4 Military Graduates

  1. Four men in uniform graduated from Ethiopian military academy and passed with flying colors. Today, the president presented them with certificates and medals of honor.

    The event held at the presidential palace saw the attendance of the president, Musa Bihi Abdi, the Chief of national army, Brigadier General Nuh Tani, the presidential adviser on political affairs, Mr. Ali Mohamed Waranade, the defense minister, Mr. Abdikani Ateye, and others officials from the ruling party. Both the Chief army and the minister of defense have reiterated that the brand new graduates who completed their masters education in military from Ethiopia will benefit the much needed expertise to Somaliland defense forces. The President himself congratulated on the 4 men who have recently graduated from Ethiopian military academy. Mr. Bihi has stressed that they have made a great achievement in coming top at Ethiopian military whereby thousands of Ethiopian soldiers are trained. He told that they have to invest their education to the rebuilding Somaliland’s robust armed forces. The president has further addressed that his gov won’t allow individuals in the army to practice corruption and break the laws. He reiterated that no one will be above the law of the land.

    The president has sent a directive to the public works ministry to allocate public lands for provision of housing  to the families of the defense forces.

    The names of the graduates are:-

    1. Mr. Ahmed Hure Haariye–Major
    2. Mr. Nima’an Yusuf Osman- Leiutenant Colonel
    3. Mr. Abdirisak Hasan Dalmar– Colonel
    4. Mr. Mustafe Abdi Hassan–Colonel
