Somali Federal Gov’t Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdilahi met and held high level discussions with a delegation from Egypt that arrived in Mogadishu.
During the meeting, the two sides held discussions focusing on strengthening the bilateral ties on the areas of security, development of Somalia’s police officers and enhancing the cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides also discussed ways to further enhance police trainings and combating crime.
Egypt is part of troop contributing countries in new African Union Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM).
Egypt’s navy and its ground forces are expected to arrive in Mogadishu soon.
