Somalia’s deputy foreign affairs minister, Isak Mohamud Mursal on Saturday has received a delegation headed by the Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of the Russian Federation, Mr. Bogdanov Mikhail Leonidovich, who is also responsible for relations with Middle East and Africa.
The two countries share longstanding and historic ties, and are committed to broaden the cooperation in order to develop the mutual interests of the two countries.
The two sides will discuss the bilateral ties between the two countries in the areas of politics, economy, education, health and economic development.
They will also discuss the development projects that the Russia and Somalia cooperate.
Mr. Bogdanov Mikhail reiterated that the Russian Federation is keen to strengthen the historic ties with Somalia.
He showed interest that the gov’t in Moscow will support Somalia on its peace efforts, development and stability.
Somali Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, Isak expressed thanks to Bogdanov for his visit to Somalia.
He stated that it is an opportunity for both nations to consolidate the relationship which will be beneficial to the peoples of Russia and Somalia.
